Teen Counseling therapists teach coping skills to kids so that they can better manage the everyday stress of growing up

Most every teen, even the 'perfect' ones, have times when they experience anxiety and/or depression. With their hormone fluctuations and body changes, changes at home, changes with who is in their friends group, who is being bullied, what is happening in band and sports, not to mention the constant bombardment of climate change news on Tik-Tok, not to mention social media, they can feel overwhelmed with emotions and confusion.
This therapist has around 10 different approaches that are evidence proven and can be taught to teens to help them deal with changes and their emotions. Which one or ones the therapist chooses depends on your child. It is very individualized for your child.
Counseling sessions are confidential and teens should feel that they can talk openly. The sessions are meant to help the teens, and not be a tell-all to parents. What if something really bad comes up? No worries, therapists are required reporters. They must report when the teen is in danger from others or themselves, and when abuse has happened.
